On Tuesday I made fried biscuits. Here they are in the pan.
And here are the finished ones. They tasted really good at first but quickly got to be too much. I think they soaked up too much oil. I used peanut oil and just flipped them when they started looking done on one side. When they're baked normally they taste really, really good. I've made them a lot, but this is the first time I've ever fried them.
Here's my recipe:
2 Cups Flour
2 tbsp Baking Powder
1 tablespoon Sugar
3/4 tsp Salt
1/4 Cup Butter
1 Cup Milk
Mix flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Cut in butter till it looks like crumbs. Stir in milk until just moist. Knead. Roll. Cut. Place on ungreased sheet and bake at 450 for 10-12 minutes.
